Configure Stripe S700 terminals with Tiquo’s custom firmware for integrated payment processing.

Network Connection

WiFi Setup

On the terminal:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select WiFi
  3. Choose network
  4. Enter password

Avoid captive portal networks. Use a dedicated business WiFi.

Pairing with Tiquo

Get Pairing Code

  1. Go to Settings → Terminals
  2. Click Add Terminal
  3. Note the pairing code

Enter on Terminal

  1. On terminal, go to Settings
  2. Select Pair Device
  3. Enter the code
  4. Terminal connects

Terminal Configuration

Location Assignment

Assign to a location:
  • Determines which orders appear
  • Sets local preferences
  • Enables location reports

Tipping Settings

Configure tip screen:
  • Enable/disable
  • Preset percentages
  • Custom amount option
  • Screen timing

Receipt Settings

Configure receipts:
  • Print vs. digital
  • Customer choice
  • Email collection

Using the Terminal

Processing Payments

From Tiquo dashboard:
  1. Open order
  2. Click Process Payment
  3. Select terminal
  4. Amount sent to terminal
  5. Customer taps/inserts card
  6. Payment confirmed

Tipping Flow

  1. Amount displayed
  2. Tip options shown
  3. Customer selects tip
  4. Total confirmed
  5. Payment processed

Receipts

After payment:
  • Print option (if equipped)
  • Email receipt option
  • No receipt option

Terminal Management

Viewing Terminals

See all terminals:
  • Connection status
  • Last activity
  • Location assignment
  • Serial number

Remote Actions

From dashboard:
  • Restart terminal
  • Update firmware
  • Adjust settings
  • Disconnect

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Cause: WiFi disconnected Solution: Check network connection, restart terminal
Cause: Card issue or network timeout Solution: Retry payment, try different card
Cause: Wrong code or network issue Solution: Generate new pairing code, check network

Restart Terminal

If issues persist:
  1. Hold power button 10 seconds
  2. Wait for shutdown
  3. Power on again
  4. Check connection

Best Practices

Use reliable WiFi or Ethernet. Payment failures frustrate customers.
Keep terminal charged or plugged in during business hours.
Wipe screen and card reader to prevent read errors.
Accept firmware updates for security and features.
