Restaurant and Bar POS

Run tables, tabs, courses, kitchen communication, and settlement from Tiquo POS

Restaurant and Bar modes add table service, staged preparation, and kitchen workflows to Tiquo Point of Sale. The same operational model is available on supported Dashboard, Tiquo App, and Tiquo PDQ surfaces.

Choose the POS mode

Open Sublocation Settings > General > Order Creation and choose:

  • Standard: the regular order flow.
  • Restaurant: product-first ordering with floor plans, tables, covers, seats, order stages, and kitchen routing.
  • Bar: the Restaurant feature set, but opening on a fresh order instead of the POS home.

Restaurant and Bar modes can open the floor plan first. Staff can still return to the POS home or full catalogue.

Decide what an order must be associated with

Use Allow Customer & Company Tabs for floating tabs associated with a customer or company rather than a table or booking. An order can be associated with either a table/booking or a customer/company tab, not both.

Turn off Allow Unassociated Orders when staff must select a table, booking, walk-in, customer, or company before sending the order.

Run service from the floor plan

A table's quick actions can open an existing order, choose between several open orders, start a walk-in, create another order, move a tab, or begin settlement. Staff can also assign products to numbered seats.

An open tab can move to a table in another sublocation. The order retains its original sublocation, pricing, and connected payment account while using the destination booking and table as its dining context.

Send rounds and repeat products

Sending an order records the sent round and routes eligible items to their KDS locations. Staff can:

  • repeat one item using the current catalogue, variant, modifier, price, and availability rules;
  • repeat the most recently sent round;
  • change quantities before sending;
  • transfer selected products that have already been saved on an open tab.

Transferred products keep their kitchen and sent-round state. Items cannot be transferred from wastage orders or from tabs that already contain a payment.

Use order stages and HOLD/FIRE

Products normally use the stage configured on their category or subcategory. When staff stage selection is enabled, the stage can be changed during ordering. Saved line items can also be moved to another stage using the supported drag or swipe action.

With HOLD/FIRE enabled, Direct Fire always prepares immediately. Other stages can default to HOLD or FIRE and can be overridden on the order. Releasing a held stage updates the kitchen workflow and physical KDS ticket plan.

Send kitchen messages

Open Info on the restaurant order to choose a configured kitchen message preset or enter a free-text message. The selected message is stored with the order and included on the kitchen ticket.

Move tabs and products

Move a complete open tab when the whole order should follow the customer to another table. Transfer selected saved products when only part of a tab should move. Tiquo recalculates both source and destination totals after a product transfer without applying a second inventory deduction.

Settle several orders

When a booking or table has several unpaid orders, staff can choose one order or settle all of them together. A combined card settlement presents one customer payment while retaining each underlying order and its payment allocation.

Where the orders belong to different connected Stripe accounts, Tiquo routes each order's allocated amount to its own account. Receipts remain separate and are produced in sequence.
