Digital Access Control & Door Management
Automate door access with digital keys tied to bookings, memberships, and customer profiles — supporting ASSA ABLOY, Salto, Dormakaba, and more
Doors & Digital Access Control
Overview
Tiquo enables businesses to manage physical access — such as doors, gates, and secure areas — directly within the platform. Access can be linked to customer profiles, memberships, bookings, and defined time windows.
Doors are part of Tiquo's permissions system. Access is granted and revoked automatically based on real-time customer state, rather than being managed manually.
This allows operators to replace keycards and manual access control with fully digital, automated access.
Digital access control requires a custom app. Depending on your lock provider, the integration supports Apple and Google Wallet cards, Bluetooth keys, or web keys within your app.
How Access Control Works
Tiquo integrates with supported door lock providers via API to issue digital keys.
Access is automatically controlled based on:
- Booking check-in and check-out times
- Membership status and tier
- Manually assigned permissions per customer
When any of these conditions change — a booking ends, a membership lapses, or a permission is removed — access is revoked in real time.

Managing Doors
Doors are created and configured directly within the Tiquo dashboard under the access control section. Each door maps to a physical access point connected through an integrated lock system.
Assigning Access to Customers
Doors can be assigned to individual customers with:
- A selected door
- A start date and time
- An end date and time
- Optional notes
This allows access to be time-bound and controlled on a per-customer basis. Assignments appear on the customer's activity timeline.
Membership-Based Access
Door access can be included as part of membership permissions. When a customer holds an active membership that includes door access, they automatically gain entry to the specified spaces.
Access is removed if the membership expires, is cancelled, or changes to a tier that no longer includes it.
Customer Profile Integration
Door access is tied directly to the customer profile in Tiquo's CRM.
This means access works alongside:
Access updates automatically as the customer's status changes, and all access events are recorded in the customer timeline.
Key Concepts
Doors
A door is a physical access point — such as a room door, building entrance, or gate — connected to Tiquo through an integrated lock system.
Permissions
Permissions define who can access which doors and when.
They can be applied through:
- Memberships
- Bookings
- Manual assignment
Access Windows
Each door assignment includes a start and end time. Access is automatically granted at the start time and revoked when the window ends — no manual intervention required.
Example Use Cases
Hotel
A guest books a room and receives digital key access to their room and relevant entrances for the duration of their stay. Access is automatically revoked at checkout.
Members Club
A member is granted access to specific areas of a building as part of their membership tier. Access is maintained while their membership is active and removed if it lapses.
Events
Attendees receive temporary access to event spaces based on their booking. Access expires after the event ends.
