SMS marketing and guest communication (Private Preview)
SMS marketing is currently in Private Preview and is enabled only for authorised Tiquo staff while it is being validated.
The private-preview composer can send an SMS campaign to one or more customer lists. Access is currently limited to signed-in Tiquo staff accounts. It provides an edit view and an iPhone-style preview with sample personalization, message-length and segment feedback, a sender selector, and required opt-out handling.
Campaigns can:
- Insert customer, membership, loyalty, order, spend, address, wallet-card, and custom parameter variables
- Use fallback text when a personalization value is empty
- Send immediately or at a future date and time
- Cancel a campaign that is still scheduled
- Report sent, delivered, and failed message counts
- Run a content check before sending and compare the original message with the suggested version
Branded sender IDs cannot receive STOP replies, so the composer adds the
{optOutLink} variable at the end of those messages. A phone-number sender can
receive replies. Check the selected sender and preview before approving the
campaign.
Marketing messages delivered by SMS require the customer's SMS Opt-In parameter to be set to Yes.
SMS and WhatsApp share this messaging consent. Tiquo sends the message through the customer's preferred messaging channel, rather than sending the same message through both channels. Email marketing is controlled separately by Marketing Opt-In.
See Customer Parameters for how these consent settings and their automatic timestamps work.
Transactional SMS receipts
SMS receipts are separate from the private-preview campaign composer. A sublocation can enable them after messaging is ready and a sender name is configured.
Staff send a receipt manually from Tiquo App or Tiquo PDQ; enabling the setting does not send receipts automatically. The message contains a branded, secure link to a receipt PDF on the customer-order domain.
Customers can manage supported SMS preferences through the Customer Portal and use the preference or unsubscribe destination supplied in eligible messages.
