Venue Hire
Configure event types, space types, physical venues, guest capacity, hire dates, and rates in Simple Mode
Venue Hire Simple Mode separates the type of space a customer books from the physical venue ultimately allocated. Its workspace is named Space types & venues.
Preset at a Glance
| Setting | Venue Hire behavior |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Space types & venues |
| Customer journey | Hire dates → event type → available space type |
| Category | Event Type |
| Service | Space Type |
| Inventory | Venues, using calendar-based availability |
| Booking length | Variable, measured in days; date ranges enabled |
| Party size | 1–200 guests; default 1 |
Each Space Type appears as a folder containing its connected Venues. Where a Venue has instances, the individual named spaces are shown separately.
Organise Event and Space Types
Create Event Type categories such as Wedding, Meeting, Party, or Production, then add the Space Types suitable for each use.
Configure each Space Type with its name, descriptions, images, daily hire price, capacity, stay or hire limits, status, and access settings. The category step is skipped automatically while fewer than two Event Types are available.
Add or Link Venues
Open a Space Type folder and choose Add Venue. You can:
- Create new Venue with separate capacity and availability
- Link existing Venue when the same physical space supports several Space Types or Event Types
Drag a Venue between folders to reassign its connection. Venue instances expose individual names, IDs, active status, and capacity ranges.
Configure the Booking Flow
The preset enables date-range selection for multi-day hire and a guest-count step from 1 to 200. Availability is calendar based and booking length is variable in days.
Use Booking Flow for scheduling, customer details, payment, policies, layout, deployment, and the other flow settings. Appearance, localization, and notifications are also available.
The business type is locked once services or inventory exist.
Use Advanced Mode for packages requiring several venues, separate enquiry and instant-booking journeys, or optional and fallback allocation. After settings are edited in Advanced Mode, that flow cannot return to Simple Mode.
