Appointment
Configure appointment types and the calendars that can fulfil them in Simple Mode
Appointment Simple Mode provides a direct workspace for appointment services and the staff, rooms, or equipment calendars that fulfil them. Its workspace is named Appointment types & calendars.
Preset at a Glance
| Setting | Appointment behavior |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Appointment types & calendars |
| Customer journey | Appointment type → date & time |
| Categories | Not used |
| Service | Appointment Type |
| Inventory | Calendar Resources, using calendar-based availability |
| Booking length | Fixed |
| Party size | Not used |
The workspace displays appointment types beside their calendar resources. The connections between them determine which staff member, room, or piece of equipment can satisfy each appointment.
Configure Appointment Types
Use Add Appointment Type to create a bookable appointment. Configure its name, description, price, duration, capacity, status, and access settings.
Appointment types are shown directly in the booking journey without a category step.
Configure Calendar Resources
Create a calendar resource for each staff member, room, or piece of equipment whose availability needs to be reserved. Set its capacity and availability, then connect it to every appointment type it can fulfil.
An appointment is available only when a connected required calendar can accept the booking. One resource can be connected to several appointment types when it can fulfil each of them.
Configure the Booking Flow
The default booking order is appointment type, then date and time. Party size is disabled.
Use Booking Flow to manage the connected services, steps, scheduling, customer details, payment, policies, layout, and deployment. Appearance, localization, and notifications are also available in the Simple Mode sidebar.
The business type cannot be changed after services or inventory have been created unless those items are deleted.
Use Advanced Mode for multiple customer flows, optional or fallback inventory logic, or a custom service graph. To return to Simple Mode, first remove all services and inventory from the Advanced Mode configuration; the selector stays locked while either remains.
