Hotel Rooms
Configure room types, physical rooms, occupancy, nightly rates, and stay rules in Simple Mode
Hotel Rooms Simple Mode separates the accommodation guests buy from the physical room ultimately allocated to the stay. Its workspace is named Room types & rooms.
Preset at a Glance
| Setting | Hotel Rooms behavior |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Room types & rooms |
| Customer journey | Stay dates → guests → available room type |
| Categories | Not used |
| Service | Room Type |
| Inventory | Rooms, using calendar-based availability |
| Booking length | Variable, measured in nights |
| Party size | 1–10 guests; default 2 |
Each Room Type appears as a folder containing its connected Rooms. Where a room inventory has instances, the individual named rooms are shown as separate cards.
Configure Room Types
Create a Room Type for each sellable accommodation option, such as Double Room or Suite. Configure its:
- Name, descriptions, images, and active status
- Nightly pricing and tax
- Occupancy and guest rules
- Minimum and maximum stay
- Check-in and check-out times
- Extra-adult and extra-child supplements where required
The customer flow uses a double-month calendar by default.
Every night in a requested stay must be available. Tiquo checks room availability and the applicable rate separately for each date, so a stay can cross pricing seasons or date-specific overrides without losing the correct nightly breakdown.
Add or Link Rooms
Open a Room Type folder and choose Add Room. You can:
- Create new Room with separate capacity and availability
- Link existing Room when the same room inventory already exists
Rooms can be dragged between Room Type folders to reassign their connection. Named room instances expose an ID, name, active status, and minimum and maximum guest capacity.
Configure the Booking Flow
The preset enables stay-date selection and a guest-count step. Availability is calendar based and the selected stay length can vary.
Use Booking Flow for steps, scheduling, customer details, payment, policies, layout, and deployment. Appearance, localization, and notifications are available alongside it.
The business type is locked once services or inventory exist.
Use Advanced Mode for packages spanning several room types, optional inventory fallbacks, or custom flow connections. To return to Simple Mode, first remove all services and inventory from the Advanced Mode configuration; the selector stays locked while either remains.
Configure Rates and Stay Restrictions
Hotel pricing provides several layers:
- Base nightly rate: the normal price for the room type
- Pricing levels and seasons: named rates applied over date ranges, with optional yearly repetition
- Rate plans: sellable terms such as Flexible, Advance Purchase, or Breakfast Included
- Rate Calendar: an override for a specific night or selected date range
A rate plan can use the base rate, a percentage adjustment, or a fixed adjustment per night. It can also define refundability, a cancellation deadline, meal plan, eligible room types, active status, and whether it is the default plan.
Use the Rate Calendar to review 7, 14, or 30 days at a time. Select or drag across dates to set:
- Nightly price
- Stop sell
- Closed to arrival
- Closed to departure
- Minimum stay
- Maximum stay
Clearing a date override returns that night to the applicable seasonal or base configuration.
Occupancy, Supplements, and Deposits
Set how many guests are included in the nightly rate and, where needed, add separate extra-adult and extra-child charges per night. The booking flow applies those supplements to the guest mix for the stay.
Where the booking flow requires a deposit, the guest pays the configured amount to confirm and the remaining balance stays due against the order.
Connect an OTA Travel Platform
An enabled OTA travel platform integration can keep hotel availability and rates aligned with external sales channels.
- Open Settings > Integrations and enable the OTA platform connection.
- Test the connection and import the available properties.
- Map the relevant nightly room services and rate plan.
- Use Sync availability & rates to publish current inventory, rates, and restrictions.
- Use Import bookings to bring external reservations into Tiquo.
Review mappings and the imported bookings before relying on the connection for live selling. Availability changes made by a new, moved, or cancelled stay are reflected in the connected room inventory.
Hotel Performance
Hotel analytics can report Occupancy, room nights sold, Average Daily Rate, Revenue per Available Room, room revenue, arrivals, departures, in-house stays, and average length of stay. Use the same date and location filters as the rest of Analytics.
