Mobile App Features

Analytics, check-in, POS, tabs, and scanning capabilities

The mobile app covers:

  • Home & Analytics: real-time overview of sales, bookings, and activity
  • Check In & Attendance: scan tickets, memberships, and track arrivals
  • Point of Sale: create orders and take payments
  • Open Tabs: manage ongoing customer orders
  • Floor Plans & Calendar: view availability and bookings
  • Scanning: QR codes, barcodes, and share codes

Home & Analytics

The Home screen provides a real-time overview of activity for the selected location and sublocation.

Staff can view key metrics such as sales, bookings, enquiries, and customer activity over selectable time ranges. This allows teams to quickly understand performance and current workload without needing access to the web app.

The Home view also surfaces relevant daily information such as upcoming events, bookings, or operational activity.

Tap the edit control to choose up to eight analytics tiles. Drag the tiles into the order used on Home and in the analytics carousel. The selection is saved for the staff user and follows them across their devices.

Register, Check In & Attendance

The mobile app supports customer and guest check-in directly from the device.

Staff can:

  • Scan QR codes for tickets, memberships, or bookings
  • Search for customers manually
  • Track arrival, active, and departed states in real time

Attendance updates are synced instantly across devices and reflected in bookings, events, and customer profiles.

This is commonly used for events, exhibitions, classes, studios, and member-based venues.

Point of Sale

The mobile app includes full POS functionality for taking orders and payments.

Staff can:

  • Create new orders
  • Associate orders with customers, companies, bookings, or enquiries
  • Add products and services
  • Take payments using connected card readers or supported payment methods
  • Split a payment by item, equal shares, custom amount, or percentage

In supported Add Products views, staff can filter products using configured Dropdown, Multi-Select, and Boolean product parameters while online. Restaurant Mode opens on the sublocation's Restaurant favourites when favourites have been configured, with the full catalogue still available on the adjacent page.

The sublocation can show products as a List, Grid, or both. When both are enabled, staff can use the view switcher. A product can require at least one variant before it is added.

When a customer is selected for a PDQ order, the customer preview shows parameter tags configured for at-a-glance display. It also highlights a recorded birthday when it is today or tomorrow.

If Ask about allergens is enabled for the sublocation, the app prompts staff at the configured points: when starting the order, before payment or saving an open tab, at both points, or whenever a product with configured allergens is first added to the order.

Restaurant and Bar modes add tables, covers, seats, sent rounds, order stages, HOLD/FIRE controls, kitchen messages, and stage release. Bar mode opens on a fresh order; Restaurant mode can open the floor plan first.

POS functionality mirrors the behaviour of the web and tablet experiences while remaining optimised for fast, mobile-first workflows.

Open Tabs

The app supports open tabs for ongoing customer orders.

Staff can:

  • View all active tabs
  • Add items to an existing tab
  • Close tabs when payment is taken
  • Use swipe actions to open, move, or work with a tab
  • Repeat one item or the most recently sent round
  • Move selected saved products between open tabs
  • Move a complete tab to another table, including a table in another sublocation

Tabs remain synchronised across devices, allowing staff to continue service seamlessly even if devices change.

This is particularly useful for bars, cafés, restaurants, and venues with table service.

Floor Plans and Calendar

Where enabled, staff can access floor plans and calendar views directly from the mobile app.

This allows teams to:

  • View table or space availability
  • Understand current and upcoming bookings
  • Navigate operational layouts while on the floor

For restaurant floor plans, staff can add today's walk-ins, use suggested tables, select or combine available tables manually, open bookings, and move bookings to conflict-free tables. A table's quick actions can open one of several orders, create another order, move a tab, or begin settlement. Status, timing, cover totals, and late or overdue cues remain aligned with the live floor plan.

Floor plans and calendar behaviour are configured in the web app and reflected consistently across devices.

Printers and Cash Drawers

On iPhone and iPad, a supported receipt printer can also control a cash drawer attached to the printer's drawer port. When the app detects a drawer, Cash becomes available at checkout and the drawer can be tested from Printer Settings.

If a compatible printer cannot report whether the drawer is attached, turn on This printer has a cash drawer in Printer Settings. This override offers cash payments whenever that printer is connected. Use Open Cash Drawer to test the connection before serving customers.

Several printers can remain connected at the same time. Configure the sublocation and KDS routing for each printer; the app sends eligible till receipts and kitchen tickets to every matching connected printer rather than requiring staff to switch the active printer.

QR Code, Barcode & Share Code Scanning

The mobile app supports scanning using the device camera.

QR codes are used for:

  • Member cards
  • Tickets
  • Check-in and attendance

Only QR codes are supported for member and ticket scanning.

Most common 1D and 2D barcode formats are supported for operational use cases such as product or internal references.

Share codes generated from the Tiquo web app can be scanned to quickly access records.

Profile & Settings

Staff can access profile and app settings directly from the mobile app.

This includes:

  • Switching locations and sublocations
  • Viewing account details
  • Changing app modes where available
  • Managing session-related preferences

Settings shown are based on the user's role and permissions.

Support & Help

Support and help resources are accessible from within the app.

This allows staff to:

  • Access guidance and documentation
  • Troubleshoot common issues
  • Reach out for support where enabled

This ensures staff can resolve issues quickly without leaving the operational flow.
