What types of forms does Tiquo support?

Compare Tiquo's built-in forms and documents with custom enquiry, marketing signup, and profile forms.

Tiquo supports two kinds of forms: forms and documents you build in the dashboard, and custom forms where you design the form yourself and connect it to Tiquo.

Tiquo forms and documents

Build these in Settings → Documents & Forms, then share each one as a standalone link or embed it in your website. Documents work the same way as forms, and can also collect a signature.

Under On submission, choose what happens when someone submits:

  • Attach to customer makes it a profile form. The answers are saved to the customer's profile and no enquiry is created. For example, a health club intake form can save a member's allergies and medical conditions to their customer parameters, or keep them in the completed form on the Documents tab of their profile.
  • Attach to customer and create enquiry makes it an enquiry form. The answers are saved to the customer's profile and an enquiry is created for staff to follow up.

Each field can be standalone, so the answer is kept in the completed form only, or bound to an enquiry parameter, a customer parameter, or a profile field such as name, email, or phone. See Documents and Forms.

Custom forms

Design the form yourself and connect it to Tiquo with the Hosted Package, which uses HTML attributes and needs no code, or the DOM Package in your own JavaScript. There are three types.

Enquiry forms

An enquiry form creates an enquiry from your website, and visitors don't need to sign in. Fields can save to enquiry parameters, customer parameters, or the customer's name and contact details, and the subject and message carry free text. Customer parameters sent from an enquiry form only fill in values the customer doesn't already have.

See Enquiries for the Hosted Package or the DOM Package.

Marketing signup forms

A marketing signup form collects email and SMS opt-ins without the visitor signing in, and creates no enquiry. Because anyone can submit it, the form can only save what a marketing signup needs: email, first and last name, phone, and the email and SMS opt-ins.

See Marketing signup for the Hosted Package or the DOM Package.

Profile forms

A profile form lets customers edit their own profile, so they must be signed in with Tiquo. Sign-in can be built fully into your website or app, using the tokens Tiquo issues when a customer signs in, or with Tiquo as your identity provider.

Fields save to profile fields and customer parameters. Customers can only change the details and parameters you allow them to edit. To stop customers changing a parameter, make it editable by staff only.

See Building a profile form for the DOM Package, or Edit profile fields and customer parameters for the Hosted Package.
