How do I add or edit a website entry?

Create, edit, publish, and delete entries in your website's collections.

Website content such as articles, authors, and banners is kept in collections. Open Content, select the site, then select Open CMS. Select a collection, or View all next to it, to see its entries.

Find an entry

Search finds words in an entry's title, text fields, and body. Use the status filter to show Published, Draft, or Archived entries, and Load more for older ones. Select an entry to open it.

Add an entry

  1. Select New followed by the item name, for example New article.
  2. Enter a Title. The Slug, which becomes the end of the web address, is filled in for you.
  3. Select Create, fill in the fields, then Save or Publish.

If New is greyed out, the collection has a fixed set of entries, such as home page banners. Edit one of the existing entries instead.

Edit an entry

Some fields only appear after you make a choice in another field. For example, a banner can show an article picker only when you choose to link to an article. Fields that are hidden aren't required and aren't saved.

Live at under the slug shows the entry's web address. Once the entry is published, it links to the live page, and View page opens it.

For a published entry, Save draft keeps your changes off the website until you select Publish changes. Discard changes throws them away. If you leave without saving, the editor offers to restore your unsaved changes next time.

Unpublish, duplicate, archive, or delete

Open the ... menu in the editor. To delete, choose Delete, then Continue, then confirm in the dialog. Deleting a live entry removes it from your website and can't be undone.
