How do I open a tab using guest names?

Identify a tab without creating a customer profile.

  1. Enable Name-only orders in Sublocation Settings > General > Order Creation.
  2. Start an order and open its association controls.
  3. Select Name Only or Names and enter the guests' names.
  4. Add products and save the order as an open tab.

Names replace a table, booking, customer, or company association. With several names, choose who each product is for or leave it Shared. Supported order views let you switch between grouping by course and by person.

A duplicate-name warning still allows two guests with the same name. This workflow does not create CRM profiles or apply membership benefits. See Restaurant and Bar POS.
